Richard Lü, MBA
President & CEO
Dr. Lü is the founder of Abundant, and brings over 20 years of global executive level management experience in the energy and technology industries, with a specialized focus on the development of Solar Photovoltaic projects. With an advanced understanding of both financial and tactical strategies, Dr. Lu is currently managing assets in excess of $180 M while continuing to identify new opportunities to develop green energy initiatives locally and internationally.
Previous to forming Abundant, Dr. Lu had held the positions of Managing Director at Sky Solar; Vice President of Business Development at ARISE Technology Corporation; Vice President and CCO at Toronto Hydro Corporation; and senior positions at Enbridge, Husky Injection Molding Systems Ltd., and Dillon Consulting.
Dr. Lü holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Health Science degrees from the University of Toronto; a Master of Science and a medical doctor degree from Tongji Medical University. He is also a graduate of the Darden Executive Education Program of the University of Virginia.
Gary Tsuji, CPA, CA
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Tsuji is a financial executive with an extensive history delivering impactful strategic financial leadership and planning in the Telecommunications and Renewables industries. With over 30 years of experience delivering tactical solutions in the areas of Finance and Accounting, operations and asset management, Mr. Tsuji is now driving a competitive advantage to the solar development industry in Ontario, Canada and assisting Abundant Solar Energy Inc. in becoming an industry leader.
For over 17 years, Mr. Tsuji served as a key member of TELUS’ Senior Leadership team and strategic financial leader for the business segments, Consumer, SMB, Enterprise, and Customer Care and Service Delivery units. From developing long term financial strategy processes, financial advising regarding partnership agreements, and delivering advanced support for key business acquisitions, he fostered and activated growth at every stage.
Mr. Tsuji is actively supporting business development opportunities in the US to continue the growth and development of green energy initiatives from the start-up phase through project completion for Abundant as it diversifies its strategies outside of Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Kent University and is a recognized member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA).
VP Business Development
Ms. Clark is a tenured business executive with extensive experience in business development, marketing strategy and sales operations. With over 20 years of senior sales and strategic management experience, Ms. Clark has spent the last five years firmly focussed on expanding the green energy sector in the Ontario region. She has a specialized skill set in property acquisitions for commercial solar photovoltaic projects and is actively pursuing expansion throughout North America.
Ms. Clark joined Abundant Solar Energy’s executive team after proven success with Solar Power Network, where she managed partner relations, regulatory and procurement activities. Ms. Clark was on the management team for the roll-out of Wind Mobile, Canada’s leading alternative mobile telephone service provider, as well as launching XM Satellite Radio in Canada. Prior to her foray into these start ups, Ms. Clark was with Rogers Wireless, where she was responsible for National Retail distribution, the Rogers store channel, and the management of partnered retail distribution across the country. Ms. Clark also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Acadia
Tracy Zheng, MBA
Director of Operations
Ms. Zheng is an accomplished business strategist with over 20 years of management experience in brand marketing, investments, business development and solar project operations management. Ms. Zheng joined the Abundant Solar Energy Inc.’s executive team after several years at Sky Solar Canada where she was responsible for managing sales teams, financial and project viability analysis, and partnership negotiations.
Prior to Sky Solar, she developed a plethora of international business exposure specializing in branding and marketing strategy through senior marketing positions in various companies such as Colgate-Palmolive, Clairol, marketing research and internet companies. She’s proficient in developing marketing plans, strategies, identifying market opportunities and executing field activities. She has successfully led several new product launches, national marketing campaigns, adverting and communication programs.
She holds both a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Sun Yat-Sen University, and an MBA from York University.
Director of Business Development – New York
Ms. Clar is an accomplished real estate strategist with nearly 20 years of experience in identifying, securing and closing on land acquisitions in the renewables, telecommunications and real estate development fields. An attorney by training, Ms. Clar has spent the last several years focusing on the solar industry in the Western New York region, including identifying sites ideal for community solar photovoltaic projects, negotiating leases and land purchase agreements with landowners, working with municipal boards on permitting issues, and moving projects towards and through financial closing.
Ms. Clar holds a JD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science, Politics and Law, with minors in Environmental Science and Spanish, from Binghamton University.
VP of Engineering
Andrew has over 22 years of experience in Engineering, Renewable Energy and Utility Project Management. As a former president of Canadian Solar Industries Association (CANSIA) Andrew has expertise in the management of operations, and construction for solar photovoltaic systems. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario.
